The untimely death of Vice President of Vidente Co., Park, has left many shocked and saddened. Park was found dead at his home in Seoul, in what police ruled a possible suicide, while he was under investigation in regards to embezzlement and stock market manipulation suspicions connected to the chief of the company’s parent company, Bithumb. This unfortunate incident is a reminder of the need for proper monitoring of corporate activities in order to avoid any irregularities.
Park has recently come under a prosecution probe due to allegations of embezzlement and stock price manipulation. According to reports, Park had been working for Kang Ji-yeon, the head of Inbiogen, and her brother Kang Jong-hyun and was in charge of accounting. In early October, prosecutors searched Vidente, Inbiogen and its affiliates in order to further investigate these claims. Park is now facing a possible criminal investigation into his involvement in the matter.
